Measured out for you
- Start with a large frameHang frame B with its lower corners about 22 cm above the handrail.
- Step the others upKeep 6 cm between frames side to side. Each frame’s centre sits higher than the one before it: about 23 cm from A to B, 33 cm from B to C and 23 cm from C to D.
- Check the lineThe centres of all four frames follow a line parallel to the handrail. Stairs vary, so adjust the steps to match yours.

From their walls
“I am so pleased with our framed photo. When ordering I loved seeing the design options with the live preview tool. It now hangs beautifully and I’m impressed with the quality of the materials.”
Emily M., Bath“We’re so pleased with it. Seeing my kid’s drawing in the frame before I ordered is what made me click confirm.”
Helen M., London“The frame arrived so quickly and in perfect condition, and it went straight onto the wall.”

Before you order
How much wall space do I need?
The set covers 160 × 121 cm. It fits the wall of a standard straight staircase. The frames sit 6 cm apart and step up with the stairs.
Which photos work best?
All four frames are portrait. The two large frames in the middle are the ones you’ll see first. Upload the original from your camera roll rather than a copy sent by message.
Can I mix colour and black and white?
Yes. We print exactly what you upload, and a mix often looks lovely in walnut or black.
Can I choose different sizes?
The Alnwick Stairwell Set is a fixed arrangement, sized to work together. To choose your own sizes, you can frame photos individually from Start Framing.
How does it arrive?
All four frames are made to order and delivered within 10 days, with D-rings and hanging cord already fitted.
What if it isn’t quite right?
Get in touch and we will make it again or work with you to put it right.
