Getting something framed properly has always been harder than it should be. There is the trip to the shop, the wait, and the moment at the till when you wonder whether you are paying for the frame or the rent. Meanwhile, the photographs that matter most to most of us never leave our phones.
Framewick was started to fix both of those things. You upload a photo, see it framed on a wall, and a few days later it arrives at your door, ready to hang.
Made by hand, in the UK
Your frame is not pulled from a shelf. It is made to order for your photograph, then cut, mounted and fitted by hand in our UK workshop by people who frame for a living. Every one is checked by hand before it leaves.
The frame shop standard, without the frame shop
We chose the materials a good framer would choose, and we use them on every order.
| What | Why it matters |
|---|---|
| Archival pigment inks on FSC-certified satin photo paper | Rated to last over 100 years without fading |
| Acid-free, white-core mountboard with a bevelled edge | Stays white and keeps your print safe |
| 2mm float glass | Clear, flat and proper glass, not plastic |
| Mouldings made by hand in the UK from engineered timber | A clean, true line that won't warp with the seasons |
| Kraft paper sealed across the back | A neat, dust-proof finish, the way a framer does it, with no bare board or clips on show |
| Hanging cord on D-rings, fitted | Ready to hang the day it arrives, and hangs flat and level |
See it framed before you spend a penny
Upload a photo straight from your phone or computer. JPEG, PNG and HEIC all work, so iPhone photos go straight in. Choose a size, frame and mount, and you will see your photo hanging on a wall before you order.
We only offer the sizes your photo will print beautifully at. If a photo is too small for a size, we tell you before you buy, not after.
Fair prices, said plainly
Every price includes the print, the mount, the glass and the frame.

Three frames, chosen with care
Black (The Dahlia), white (The Orchid) and walnut (The Honeysuckle). We kept the choice small on purpose: each one suits a photograph and a room, so there are no wrong answers. We have launched with engineered timber, and in 2027 we will add natural wood, more materials and more colours.
You'll love it, or it's on us
If you are not happy with your frame, we will make it again or work with you to put it right. If anything arrives damaged, send us a photo within seven days and we will replace it at no cost. Just write to support@framewick.com.
A note from our founder
There is a photograph on my wall of a battered orange sign, taken by a dear friend who is no longer here. I walk past it every morning. Most mornings, it makes me smile. You might have photographs like that too. Framewick exists to get them off your phone and onto your wall.

Questions people ask
How long does delivery take? Please allow 10 working days from order to delivery. That covers making your frame by hand and the DPD delivery.
Can I frame an iPhone photo? Yes. An original photo from a recent iPhone often prints beautifully at Standard or Statement, sometimes larger. Upload the original from your camera roll rather than a WhatsApp copy, which loses detail.
Can you frame prints, artwork or keepsakes I post to you? Not yet. We work from digital files, and a good scan of a treasured print works well.
How does Framewick compare with other ways to frame a photo? We wrote an honest guide to the options in the UK, from high-street framers to online printers: the best ways to print and frame a photo in the UK.
